Kenton Slash Demon (Copenhagen, DK)


Jonas Kenton and Silas Moldenhawer grew up together in Copenhagen where they discovered their mutual love for electronic music in their teens. Years later they created Kenton Slash Demon, and together with two other talented musicians they also formed the electro pop band When Saints Go Machine, which recently won the highly acclaimed Danish P3 Guld award.

First awakening the interest of electronic connoisseurs with their 'Khattabi' EP back in 2009, over the course of the following two years KSD released the ambitious "The Schwarzschild Solution" trilogy, containing the EPs 'Sun', 'Matter' and 'Daemon'. These three releases not only cemented the span and scope of KSDs talent, but also saw many mighty house and techno DJs such as John Talabot, Tensnake, Dixon, Michael Mayer, Todd Terje and Luciano incorporating their singles as well as the slew of mind-bending remixes into their regular DJ-sets.

While recording and touring with their band outfit When Saints Go Machine (!K7 Records), Jonas Kenton and Silas Moldenhawer have continued developing Kenton Slash Demon as a separate entity. After releasing their successful EPs over the last couple of years, the duo ventured back into the studio to start exploring new transcendent boundaries in the electronic world and 'Ore' (Out August 2012) is the first new track to see daylight. Their sound is one of its kind, brimming with organic texture and complexity, making the duo a truly hidden gem in the world of electronic music, and a rare treat for those lucky enough to get to hear them in action.
